Finally I’ve got my old USB Tevion graphics tablet working on Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex). It was a hard fight, and I don’t exactly know anymore how I got there, but I’ll try to reconstruct this case as good as I can. Before you go ahead: It’s not working without flaws. There are some ugly bugs, and dirty workarounds in it, but at least I’ve got it working somehow. This seems to be the first HOWTO for APT-6000U on the Internet so far, please consider it may not work for you, since I’ve got no conformations yet, if it’s working for other, too.

Want to learn SQL, but you don’t have time to study tons of books or browsing endlessly the Internet?
Then here we go with MySQL in 5 minutes crash course. After five minutes you’ll be able to create databases and tables, list and drop them. You’ll be able to fill and to query them. At the end of the course you’ll do a backup of your database, drop it, and restore it again. Of course most of the capabilities of MySQL won’t be mentioned, but If you find out, what you want to focus on, you can go deeper into details, e.g. at MySQL’s web-site. If your WordPress installation is owned and defaced and you’re in a hurry, jump right to the Solution the top of the next page. But watch out, it could be a different problem.
I’m new to WordPress and was asking myself what I can do to secure my Blog. I’ve tried the WP Security Scan plugin, since I’ve stumbled upon it a few times.
I didn’t read the instructions thoroughly and so it came my wp-config.php file wasn’t writable. After the run of the WP – Database Security feature my Blog looked like a fresh install.
I’ve started to read the comments at site of the plugin, but it took me a while to find out what to do.
