Have you been looking for a performance monitor tool for your brand new and expensive Nvidia graphics card, and didn’t find anything working for a Windows 7 x64 system? Me either 
Even the brand new GPU-z tool, available in version 0.3.8 (as of 1st December, 2009) doesn’t show a graph on my Windows 7 x64. See picture to the right.

This is a documentation installation of a Windows 7 x64 on a Asus P5K motherboard using a RAID0. First of all I must say, that I’ve managed this RAID0 installation and the speed increase was very impressive, and I’d like to share my experiences on how to set up a hardware based RAID0 with Windows 7 x64, since it was all, but straight forward.
In advance: I do not use a RAID anymore, because I’ve noticed some ugly side effects, which urged me to drop this RAID idea again. FarCry2 and Crysis Warhead simply didn’t work on my RAID system. Maybe more titles are affected. Feedback welcome. Continue reading ‘Windows 7 on a RAID’

Few month ago I’ve messed around with a bunch of launchpad debs for Nvidia’s VDPAU support, and it supposed to happen I’ve installed more or less accidentally the nvidia-glx-180-opengl3 (don’t ask my anything about it). From this day on, I’ve occasionally tried to get rid of it, but didn’t succeed. Every time I’ve tried to install e.g. nvidia-glx-180 or something, I’ve got one of these errors (full log) slapped into my face:
