The Panasonic model seems to be having good features. It is light in weight and not very expensive. Panasonic HDC-HS250 Camcorder is also an easy to use camera. The video quality offered is also very nice. For more in detail refer http://www.etechreviews.net/panasonic-hdc-hs250-digital-camcorder/

This review is exactly what I was looking for.

So I have to choose between a beautiful easy-to-use poor quality cam and an ugly clumsy great-performance cam. Pretty tough job! Since my mom will like to use it too. She may not like the difficulties Canon gives.

Thanks
